A Girl for All TimeŽ

A Girl for All TimeŽ

A Girl for All TimeŽ was founded by Frances Cain in 2009 in response to what she felt was a lack of intelligent role-play toys for girls 8+. Wanting to give girls a doll that encouraged creativity and individuality, Frances developed an exquisite doll unlike anything else on the market. In development for over two and a half years with a creative team drawn from the world of British film-making and fashion these dolls have been beautifully crafted to reflect the concerns of today's girl: friendships, fitting in, fashion, family.

Each of the six dolls featured in A Girl for All TimeŽ is featured in a series of novels set in different eras of the most exciting times in English history. Alongside the novels are beautifully crafted, customizable keepsake books that bring the world of the dolls to life with themed activities and adventures. The historically inspired clothing for each doll has been painstakingly researched and re-interpreted to appeal to todayŐs fashion-conscious girl. With luxurious cotton velvets, silk-taffetas, extravagant trims and attention to details, the costumes will equally delight both children and collectors. The face sculpts are made by the latest technology available and look as if they are made from fine porcelain but are in fact made from extremely durable vinyl. Frances regularly goes to China to oversee production, check quality output and meet with her manufacturers.

Matilda, Your Tudor GirlŽ is the first in the series and will be followed by Amelia, Your Victorian GirlŽ in 2012.

Matilda, her costumes and her novel have all arrived and will be dispatched on Monday 26th September. The Keepsake book is due to arrive in the middle of October and will be sent out then.
