This is Matilda's Velvet Cloak which can be worn over her court dress or ball gown. Made from beautiful burgundy velvet, the cloak has a deep fur lined hood with luxurious velvet braid trim and fastener. The lining is taffeta silk and there is a hidden, secret pocket within it, the significance of which is explained in the novel Matilda's Secret.
Oh this is so lovely and a perfectly stitched cloak, a very authentic addition to Matilda's wardrobe that I've bought for christmas for my 8 year old daughter. Love that Cate and her team have taken the time to post the washing instructions on their site too - well done girls.
I've bought this for my daughter's Christmas present, along with the Matilda doll. The cloak looks beautiful - such a lovely addition to Matilda's wardrobe.
