Bambina Steffi German Doll by Kathe Kruse

Bambina Steffi is a lovely large and cuddly baby doll made by Kathe Kruse, the respected family run doll manufacturer in Germany. Bambina Ida would make a wonderful gift for a 3 or 4 year old girl wanting a lovely baby to cuddle and look after. My daughter adopted one at 3 and Bambina Lara is still one of her favourite dolls at 7. Steffi has a large fibre filled fabric body with some pellets in her bottom to add some weight, so she feels like a real baby. Her head and dangling limbs are made from high quality phthalate free vinyl. Bambina Steffi has a contented looking hand painted face with blue eyes and painted brown hair with wisps around her face.

Bambina Steffi's dolls clothes are very grown up. She wears a navy and white scrunchy style gingham short sleeved dress with a frill around the hem and navy blue bows to decorate the front. Her bloomers are made of the same fabric, which is also used to trim and add interest to her white hat. On her feet Steffi is wearing blue T bar canvas shoes and white ankle socks, and to complete the look she wears a dark navy waterproof coat with a pleated skirt. Finally, Bambina Steffi is wearing a white jersey baby vest, just like the real thing.

The body of this doll can be gently wiped with a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. The clothes can be carefully handwashed in warm water using a mild detergent. Dry flat and do not tumble dry. Smooth out creases whilst damp and use a cool iron if required.
