The 2013 Precious Day Jessica doll by Gotz is as beautiful as always. She has blue closing eyes and long blonde hair tied in a pony tail with a parting to the side and no fringe. Jessica is soft bodied, the fabric being filled firmly enough for her to stand on her own but remaining tactile and cuddly. She has a phthalate free vinyl head and limbs, all of which are fully articulated allowing her to be put into many different positions. Jessica also loves to have her hair washed and styled.
Jessica's outfit is lovely, consisting of a long sleeved floral blouse in pinks, pale yellow and green. The blouse buttons down the front which attach to a heart shaped trim. She is wearing a simple pair of denim jeans that are hemmed with the heart fabric to match the blouse. This also co-ordinates with a bag worn across her shoulder. Jessica wears a pair of white pumps laced with pink ribbon. A super doll in a super doll outfit!
Jessica has two friends Julia and Elisabeth, and all are part of the Gotz Precious Day Collection. They are very similar to American Girl dolls as Gotz designed the original American Girl dolls for Mrs Pleasant when she first set up the company years ago. Precious Day dolls are the same height as American Girl, have identical limbs and their body size is just a fraction smaller. All in all the Precious Day dolls by Gotz make a great alternative to American Girl dolls.

This doll can be washed in the machine. The hair should be tied into bunches or a pony tail to avoid tangling, and the whole doll placed into a tied pillow case or lingerie bag. This can then be washed in the machine at 30’C on a delicate or hand wash cycle using a mild detergent. Do not tumble dry but remove from the piillow case and dry the doll in a warm place lying face down, making sure that the hair is correctly styled before doing so.
The dolls clothes can be hand washed using a mild detergent in luke warm water. Do not tumble dry but dry flat, smoothing out creases whilst damp. Iron using a cool iron if needed.
