Kathe Kruse Child of Fortune Anouk

Child of Fortune Anouk has been introduced by Kathe Kruse for Christmas 2011. Child of Fortune dolls are wonderfully cuddly soft bodied dolls with phthalate free vinyl arms, legs and head. The dolls are 39cm tall and have been made to an incredibly high standard in Germany by the Kathe Kruse family business.

Anouk has lots of fine and wavy dark brown rooted hair which she wears in a side parting with a little fringe made up of tight curls. Her face is hand painted with blue eyes, a rosebud mouth and healthy rosy cheeks. She is wearing a trendy outfit consisting of a purple jersey playsuit with lycra which has contrast stitching in pink giving the impression of a patch pocket on her chest, jeans at the waist with a fly and slanted pockets as well as stitching at the cuffs. Over this Anouk is wearing a pretty tunic made from red woven cotton with tiny navy blue squares and subtle pink flowers. The tunic has elastic around her chest for fit and has narrow straps over her shoulders made from red and white striped fabric. The same striped fabric has been used to make a rosette which is fastened to the front of her tunic with a button in the middle. Anouk is also wearing a grey knitted scarf to keep out the chills which looks hand knitted to me, and a pair of navy blue mary jane style shoes with velcro to fasten. As underwear Anouk is wearing a simple white jersey body which helps to keep her fabric body clean.

Anouk has been designed for children of around 3 years to 6. She is easy to dress because of her floppy arms and is lovely to take to bed and cuddle. A child will need help to maintain Anouk's hair which will need regular brushing and the use of occasional hair cream to keep it in good condition.

The body of this doll can be gently wiped with a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. The clothes can be carefully handwashed in warm water using a mild detergent. Dry flat and do not tumble dry. Smooth out creases whilst damp and use a cool iron if required.
