Laura is the most popular doll from the 2012 Kidz 'n' Cats doll collection and I have to admit she is pretty stunning! She has now won an award from the Doll of the Year (DOTY) for the best children's doll which is wonderful news.
What makes her so unusual is her ample brunette curly hair. Her hair is in soft springy tendrils which will take some maintenance so I would recommend this doll for an older girl, or certainly a little girl with a mum who enjoys playing with doll's hair! Laura's hair is actually a kanekalon wig with a centre parting and fringe. A wig helps to maintain the hair style for longer and gives it a more realistic look. Laura has a pretty face with brown inset eyes and long lashes, healthy rosy cheeks and a pretty painted mouth. Laura's body is all vinyl with 11 joints in total including her elbows, knees and wrists, which gives Laura a very natural appearance and allows her to be posed in lots of positions, including seated at a table.
Laura is wearing a very pretty summer dress made from a lightweight pale yellow cotton covered with tiny off white flowers with buttercup coloured leaves. As usual there is lots of attention to detail in the design with ribbon wrapped around part of the bodice and gathered pockets trimmed with tiny pale yellow bows on each side of the dress with two frilled layers beneath. The dress is lined with pale yellow lining and layers of pale yellow net. The pretty floral pale yellow fabric is used as a hair tie too. As underwear Laura wears a pair of pretty stretchy net knickers and wears a pair of matching pale yellow shoes with criss cross elastic to hold then on. To complete the outfit Laura can carry a gorgeous straw shopping bag with her which has a lining in it made from pale yellow fabric covered in polka dots. The lining gathers up using cords with little wooden beads on the end. Laura's Kidz 'n' Cats little grey cat is wearing a pale yellow ballet tutu with matching ballet shoes. Gorgeous!

Absolutely stunning doll. My Daughter is going to love it for Christmas. I purchased this first and loved it, so I bought Grace, and Anne too, to be big sisters to the three Corolle Vanilla Dolls she got for Christmas 2yrs ago.
I bought 'Laura' for myself and she is absolutely gorgeous.
My daughter loves her, the bag you can open is almost as big a hit as the doll. The only down side - being woken on the first night she had 'Laura', as she though she'd fallen out the bed - 'Laura' was actually right next to her! They are inseparable.
The body of this doll can be cleaned using a damp cloth with a little mild detergent if required. The body should not be immersed in water as this will rot the elastic holding the limbs onto the body.
The hair can be carefully washed using a mild shampoo taking care not to create tangles. Care should be taken to avoid getting the wig wet as this may upset the glue used to attach the wig to the head.
The dolls clothes can be hand washed using a mild detergent in warm water. Do not tumble dry but dry flat, smoothing out creases whilst damp. Iron using a cool iron if needed.
