Marie Francoise Paris in May Doll Blonde

Marie Francoise is a traditional children's doll made by Petitcollin in France. She has been made using old fashioned methods and feels much lighter than modern day dolls. You can see where her limbs and body have been moulded in two halves and glued together. Her swivel joints move easily back and forth and her head turns.

Marie Francoise has a pretty face with brown closing eyes. She has lots of wavy blonde hair which looks a little crazy in the photograph but it is just tied in a high up pony tail and can be undone and styled as usual.

Marie Francoise is wearing a pink cotton sleeveless dress covered in white polka dots. It has a circular skirt and a sash which ties at the front in a bow. Over this Marie Francoise wears a cream aran style cardigan bound around the edges with a pretty floral fabric in pinks, blues and greens. The same fabric has been used to trim and line her hand bag which is made from pale pink fabric covered in floral embroidery.

The body of this doll can be cleaned using a damp cloth with a little mild detergent if required. The body should not be immersed in water as this will rot the elastic holding the limbs onto the body.

The hair can be carefully washed using a mild shampoo taking care not to create tangles.

The dolls clothes can be hand washed using a mild detergent in warm water. Do not tumble dry but dry flat, smoothing out creases whilst damp. Iron using a cool iron if needed.
