Vanilla Blonde is a gorgeous 36cm soft bodied doll from Corolle suitable for children of 3 years and up. . Vanilla Blonde has blue eyes that open and shut and delicately painted eyebrows, pale lips and cheeks. Vanilla Blonde's body is made from white fabric filled with polyester fibre. Her head, which swivels, and her dangling limbs are made from phthalate free vinyl with the unique scent of vanilla.
Vanilla Blonde wears a very pretty pink and white dress made from very soft cotton. It has short sleeves, with a pink and white gingham top, with pale pink ribbed skirt with white lace trim at the bottom. Around the waist is a pink satin ribbon tied into a bow. Under the dress she wears a pair of white cotton shorts. To match the dress she has some little pink shoes with a strap across. Every little girl will love to sit and style Vanilla Blonde's hair, which comes in bunches with a ribbon and net flower design. She also looks fabulous in the many outfits Corolle has in the 36cm Miss Corolle range.
I bought this doll (the previous year's model) for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas, I also bought her a bath baby Gotz (sleepy aquini). MIss Corolle is a beautiful doll which smells great and my daughter loves her a great deal. She is still into dolls as babies rather than friends, but likes the idea of this one being the big sister to her baby. And LOVES the shoes as she can take them off and on herself. The two dolls she got this Christmas were the first dolls specifically bought for her, until now she has been playing with my hand me down babies and rag dolls which (apart from the baby sashas) she finds a bit too big. I spent a LONG time choosing which dolls to buy and I've been very pleased with my decissions. I found the Bambolina website really helpful in explaining the stages of doll play. I just hope my daughter is still into dolls when she's a bit older so I can buy the Gotz Jessica/katie/Hannah. She takes her Miss Corolle to bed with her as her soft body makes her cuddly. She sometimes asks me to style her hair the same as her Miss Corolle and today she has taken her to pre-school for show and tell (please let the doll be ok and come back with all it's clothes and shoes- whimper!). I just wish the clothes weren't so expensive as she's a bit too wide to fit most of my old sasha girl clothes, but as she's soft she does squeeze into a few.
This doll can be washed in the machine. The hair should be tied into bunches or a pony tail to avoid tangling, and the whole doll placed into a tied pillow case or lingerie bag. This can then be washed in the machine at 30’C on a delicate or hand wash cycle using a mild detergent. Do not tumble dry but remove from the piillow case and dry the doll in a warm place lying face down, making sure that the hair is correctly styled before doing so.
The dolls clothes can be hand washed using a mild detergent in luke warm water. Do not tumble dry but dry flat, smoothing out creases whilst damp. Iron using a cool iron if needed.
