Coline is a beautiful soft bodied toddler doll from the traditiona French doll manufacturer Petitcollin. Coline is 35cm tall, is suitable for children age 3 years and up and has been made in the EU.
There are two Coline dolls available, one with blonde hair and brown eyes and the other with brunette hair and blue eyes. This particular doll is the latter. The blonde doll is listed separately.
Coline has a soft fabric body with a slightly perfumed, phthalate free vinyl head and limbs. Her face is extremely pretty with blue inset eyes. Her long, layered and wavy brunette hair is rooted and worn in a side parting.
Coline is wearing a white jersey top with elastic gathering the sleeves and velcro fastening at the back. Over this she is wearing a simple tunic made from textured white cotton with large cerise flowers approximately 4cm across with green centres and a couple of leaves beneath each flower. The flowers are spaced quite widely apart and some have stems. The print used is actually prettier than the print in the photograph. Under the dress Coline is wearing a pair of pink jersey leggings with some striped red and ivory socks and a pair of sweet little red shoes with red satin bows.
My daughter Rosie chose Coline from the catalogue because she loved the idea of the doll carrying a baby. Coline is carrying a tiny little doll made in the traditional method. You can see where the parts of the doll have been moulded and joined together. The baby has jointed limbs so looks as if he or she is wriggling. The baby wears a white baby grow with Petitcollin embroidered across the front. The baby is held in a little fabric baby carrier which loops around the large dolls neck with pink satin ribbon and then ties at the back.
Another favourite of my daughter who received this doll for Christmas. She loves the fact that there are really two dolls Sammy and Sam as he has named them! Doll is really nicely made and smells of lovelly vanilla. Because her hair's slightly curled some help and regular brush is needed to keep this tidy. Some other clothes to fit this doll would be great.
The body of this doll can be gently wiped with a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. The clothes can be carefully handwashed in warm water using a mild detergent. Dry flat and do not tumble dry. Smooth out creases whilst damp and use a cool iron if required.
