Petitcollin Francette Paris in May Doll

Francette Paris in May is a traditional childrens doll made in France by Petitcollin. Fancette has an all vinyl body which is light weight compared to dolls made using modern methods. Her limbs can be swivelled with ease. Francette has blue inset eyes with long eyelashes, pretty red lips and brunette rooted hair worn in plaits tied with pink ribbons and a fringe.

Francette is wearing a pink sleeveless cotton dress with large white polka dots. The dress has a circular skirt and a bow tied at the front. Over this she wears a cream knitted cardigan edged with a pretty floral fabric in pale blue with pink flowers. On her feet she wears pink mary jane style shoes trimmed with white. To complete the outfit there is a shopping bag made using crisp pale pink sateen fabric covered in pink floral embroidery, which is trimmed and lined with the same fabric used to trim Francette's cardigan.

The body of this doll can be cleaned using a damp cloth with a little mild detergent if required. The body should not be immersed in water as this will rot the elastic holding the limbs onto the body.

The hair can be carefully washed using a mild shampoo taking care not to create tangles.

The dolls clothes can be hand washed using a mild detergent in warm water. Do not tumble dry but dry flat, smoothing out creases whilst damp. Iron using a cool iron if needed.
