Precious Day Elisabeth is a pretty traditional doll by Gotz. She has brown eyes that open and shut and long brown hair tied in a pony tail with a small side bunch with a side parting. Elisabeth is soft bodied, the fabric being filled firmly enough for her to stand on her own but remaining tactile and cuddly. She has a phthalate free vinyl head and limbs, all of which are fully articulated allowing her to be put into many different positions.
Elisabeth's outfit is fresh and pretty. It consists of a long sleeved white top with a white strappy tunic top. The top has a white pleated satin frill around the bottom, a pink gingham trim with daisies on around the top and for straps, and finally on the front is a sparkly pink deer. There is a pink gingham bow to tie at the side. Under this Elisabeth wears some pretty pink gingham daisy cropped trousers to match. To complete her outfit she is carrying a sparkly pink and white shoulder bag and on her feet are some shiny pink sandals with elastic around the front. On her head she has a pink gingham headscarf.
Elisabeth has two friends Julia and Jessica, and all are part of the Gotz Precious Day Collection. They are very similar to American Girl dolls as Gotz designed the original American Girl dolls for Mrs Pleasant when she first set up the company years ago. Precious Day dolls are the same height as American Girl, have identical limbs and their body size is just a fraction smaller. All in all the Precious Day dolls by Gotz make a great alternative to American Girl dolls.
My three year old was thrilled to unwrap this doll on her birthday. Long hair to brush, eyes that open and close and a firm but cuddly body.Perfect. Now she can join in with her seven year old sister who has a Gotz Precious Day doll as well...I think my ten year old is wondering whether she is too old for one now! A lovely doll that I'm sure will be played with for years.
What a beautiful doll. My four year old is absolutely delighted with her doll and she has become her new best friend. Excellent quality - a real find. Will be accessorising for christmas no doubt!

Beautiful doll! My little one (4) was delighted to have "big doll". I have several American Girl dolls and this doll fits right in. I also have "Jessica" from a few years ago. This Elisabeth doll is much slimmer in the stuffed part - shoulders and torso - than either the AG or the Jessica dolls. Doesn't affect her loveliness or playability, I was just a little surprised. She can wear the AG clothes without a problem also. On to the service -- outstanding!! Arrived SO promptly, and with a lovely note to boot. Nice to not have to worry as Christmastime!

This doll can be washed in the machine. The hair should be tied into bunches or a pony tail to avoid tangling, and the whole doll placed into a tied pillow case or lingerie bag. This can then be washed in the machine at 30’C on a delicate or hand wash cycle using a mild detergent. Do not tumble dry but remove from the piillow case and dry the doll in a warm place lying face down, making sure that the hair is correctly styled before doing so.
The dolls clothes can be hand washed using a mild detergent in luke warm water. Do not tumble dry but dry flat, smoothing out creases whilst damp. Iron using a cool iron if needed.
