This is a lovely little first doll suitable for babies from birth upwards from the Waldorf range by Kathe Kruse.
The Waldorf dolls are all made using only natural materials. Nicki-Gnome is made from a soft pink velour and her padding is wool, making her very soft and cuddly. She has a well padded stockinette head with painted features. Nicki-Gnome Pink wears a securely stitched long pink velour knotty hat and her body is made from pink velour with stockinette hands. She has a sweet gathered frill around her neck from a cotton printed floral fabric.
Nicki-Gnome Pink is washable by hand at 30'C using Woolite.
Being from Germany, I already knew the high-quality Kathe Kruse dolls and wanted to give one to a newborn little girl of a friend of mine here in Britain. The quality of the doll was as I expected: organic and washable and very cuddly, cute design - a perfect gift for a newborn to accompany it for the first months. This doll can hand washed in luke warm water using woolite. It is best to tie up any hair to prevent tangling. Air dry the doll in a warm place with the hair in the desired style. The dolls clothes can also be handwashed. They should be dried flat and not tumble dried, smoothing out creases whilst damp. A cool iron can be used if required.
